Mister Shirey: The Beacon Manufacturing plant was a historical marvel in multiple ways, not the least of which the affordable housing they provided for their workers in dire economical times. The third of their three planned housing developments was never completed, including the largest lot of all, the only one they platted in the shape of a diamond. After WWII, a young couple purchased that diamond on the hill and made it their home. 65 years later, another couple walked into that house, and saw all the same hopes and dreams for a better life. Follow our journey as we bring this small house back to life, on the only diamond-shaped lot in Beacon Number Three.
